Not a 7-day trial and not a stripped-down edition: the free tier runs the same product, only with less capacity.
Once you create a team, 1 member seat and 10 browser windows are credited to your account automatically. That allowance has no time limit, does not lapse after some number of days, and never converts itself into a paid subscription. Sign-up requires no credit card and no pre-authorisation.

What hardware do you need to run many windows
Each window is its own browser process group, and memory is almost always the first resource to run out. Here is a recommendation per window count.

These are recommendations, not hard minimums. Real usage depends on how many tabs each window holds, whether pages are playing video, and whether RPA runs at the same time. Thirty windows sitting on idle dashboards and thirty windows scrolling video feeds can differ by a factor of two or three.
Three rules of thumb. Memory hits the ceiling first: when the machine is undersized, you see sluggish window switching and blank pages before anything else, and adding RAM helps more than swapping the CPU. Use an SSD: a mechanical drive noticeably slows cold starts and simultaneous window loading. And do not blame the hardware too quickly - pages stuck on a spinner are usually a slow proxy, not a slow computer.

Our installers are code-signed, so Windows shows our publisher name rather than "Unknown Publisher". Right-click the installer, open Properties and check the Digital Signatures tab to see the signer and confirm the certificate is valid.
Note that SmartScreen reputation accrues per file based on download volume, so a newly released build can still trigger a prompt until it has been downloaded enough times. We will not ask you to ignore your system security warnings: confirm the signature is valid and that the installer came from the official link on this site, and delete any file from another source.

How do updates work - do I download the installer again
You do not have to. The client checks for updates automatically and prompts you inside the app, so you stay on the current build with the newest features and security patches. The engine is built on the latest Chromium for faster startup and lower resource use.
If your network reaches the update server unreliably, come back to this page any time and reinstall over the top with a fresh installer. Profile configuration is synced to the cloud, so nothing is lost in a reinstall.

How much RAM do I need for 50 windows?
Plan for 32 GB of RAM with an 8-core CPU and 80 GB of free SSD space. Actual usage depends on tabs per window, video playback and whether RPA runs alongside. Memory runs out first, so when window switching stutters or pages go blank, add RAM before anything else.
The download is slow or keeps failing - what now?
Switch routes and retry: use the China network route on a mainland connection and the international route elsewhere. Both serve the same installer. If both are slow, a local VPN or proxy client is usually relaying the traffic - turn off system-wide proxying and download again.
Does the client cost anything, and do the free windows expire?
The client is free to download and use. Creating a team credits you with 1 seat and 10 browser windows at no cost; that allowance never expires, needs no credit card and never converts to a paid plan on its own. Add capacity by usage whenever you need more windows or seats.
Does it run on Windows 7 or 32-bit Windows?
No. The client targets 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11; older releases and 32-bit systems are not supported. The macOS client is still in development and not yet available.
